Business Development Manager – Up to £32k + Uncapped Commission

About the role

Thomas Professional is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to accelerate growth for its people‑focused services organisation in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will combine relationship‑building expertise with a results‑driven mindset to turn conversations into profitable business wins.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with decision‑makers and key stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to agreement.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of activity, opportunities and pipeline progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account growth.
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Commercially aware, resilient and target‑driven.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Organised, motivated by results and holds a full driving licence with own transport.

Required skills

• Full driving licence.
