Business Intelligence Developer – Financial Planning/EPM/CPM

About the role

The Business Intelligence Developer will join a global FTSE‑100 company’s finance function, supporting the Group Head of Consolidation & Reporting. Based in Cheltenham, you will maintain and evolve the IBM TM1 consolidation platform and deliver high‑impact Power BI dashboards that drive financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Support the architecture, build and maintenance of the TM1 finance consolidation system, ensuring accurate automation of forecasts, planning and actuals.
• Extract, transform and validate data using SQL to provide a single source of truth for the finance team.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that visualise P&L performance, cash flow and commercial trends.
• Identify data discrepancies, resolve reporting issues and implement process automation to eliminate manual tasks.
• Provide training and best‑practice guidance to end‑users of the TM1 suite.
• Assist non‑financial data owners with operating company submissions and reporting.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience with IBM TM1 or a comparable financial planning system.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Demonstrated ability to create professional Power BI dashboards for finance analytics.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and automation.
