Business Manager – SEN College (London)

About the role

Remedy Education is partnering with a specialist SEN college in Lambeth to recruit an experienced Business Manager on a fixed‑term basis. You will join the senior leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of a large secondary school, supporting both staff and students to achieve the best outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the school’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Oversee procurement, contracts and supplier relationships to secure value for money.
• Provide strategic and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Manage HR administration, recruitment coordination and personnel records.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
• Supervise premises, facilities, health and safety functions.
• Lead, develop and motivate administrative and support staff.
• Monitor and improve operational systems, processes and procedures.
• Support school improvement initiatives through effective resource planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a School Business Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong financial management and budget oversight capabilities.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management skills.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Solid understanding of compliance, health and safety and operational governance.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
