Buy-to-Let Mortgage Completions Officer

About the role

The Buy‑to‑Let Mortgage Completions Officer manages BTL mortgage applications from the formal offer stage through to legal completion and fund release. You will act as the primary liaison between underwriters, solicitors, brokers and landlords to ensure a seamless completion process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of BTL mortgage offers from issuance to final drawdown, tracking critical dates to avoid expiries.
• Maintain real‑time data accuracy in internal systems with detailed case notes and status updates.
• Review, validate and sign off Certificates of Title received from conveyancing solicitors.
• Verify complex property structures (HMOs, multi‑unit freehold blocks, limited company setups) meet specific offer conditions.
• Audit files to ensure underwriting conditions such as corporate structures, personal guarantees and tenancy agreements are resolved before funding.
• Conduct mandatory Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all parties.

Required profile

• Experience managing BTL mortgage applications from offer to completion.
• Strong understanding of legal requirements, regulatory standards and compliance checks.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with underwriters, solicitors, brokers and landlords.
