Buyer – Aerospace Procurement (Filton)

About the role

We are looking for a Buyer to join the Detailed Parts Commodity team at Airbus in Filton. The role supports the procurement of critical detail parts for Airbus programmes, working with international suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure high‑quality components are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for assigned supplier contracts across commercial programmes.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximise value and performance.
• Lead procurement projects, continuous‑improvement initiatives and Call for Tender activities.
• Collaborate with Design, Programme, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery and logistics.
• Negotiate pricing agreements and support cost‑reduction targets.
• Maintain accurate pricing data and purchase orders in SAP.
• Support supplier improvement plans and contribute to sourcing strategies.

Required profile

• Commercially minded professional with experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and suppliers collaboratively.
• Experience managing contracts and supplier performance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
