Buyer – Direct Procurement (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Buyer for Direct Procurement to lead the sourcing of direct material product groups for our high‑performance sports car manufacturing plant in Hethel. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality and Programme teams to ensure the right parts are available at the right cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain world‑class, collaborative supplier relationships.
• Manage supplier performance throughout vehicle launch and production phases, ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets are met.
• Analyse the supply base, local and global markets, and align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
• Create and execute commodity and sourcing strategies for direct materials.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve material cost targets for new product introductions.
