Buyer – Hospitality Category (Hotels, Guest Amenities, Janitorial)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially focused Buyer to manage the Hotels, Guest Amenities and Janitorial category for a leading distribution business in the hospitality sector. Reporting to the Head of Category, you will drive procurement activities, develop category strategies and ensure the right products are available at the right price.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product ranges, evaluate bids and support customer tenders.
• Source and assess suppliers, including Far East sourcing.
• Negotiate prices, trading agreements and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations to align category strategy with customer needs.
• Support sustainability initiatives, stock control and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Procurement experience within the hotel or hospitality sector (desirable).
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of supplier management and Far East sourcing.
• Confident working cross‑functionally and managing multiple priorities.
• Organised, proactive and adaptable.
