Buyer – Procurement

About the role

We are seeking two Buyers to join our Procurement team in St Ives. This role involves supporting the centralisation and consolidation of third‑party spend, managing both planned and reactive purchasing across multiple categories.

Key responsibilities

• Source, cost, purchase and contract third‑party goods and services.
• Manage supplier relationships and identify new suppliers where appropriate.
• Support planned and reactive procurement requirements across the business.
• Gather and collate information relating to spend‑category requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and tender responses.
• Raise purchase orders and draft service contracts.
• Reconcile supplier invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Projects, Operations, Technical Services and Finance.

Required profile

• Organised and detail‑focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Confidence to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with general procurement processes and systems.
• Ability to handle, analyse and present data effectively.
