Care Home Deputy Manager – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

As the Deputy Manager of a Barchester care home, you will support the delivery of high‑quality care and step in for the General Manager when required. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure residents enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in day‑to‑day operations and lead the team in their absence.
• Monitor care standards through regular audits and supervised clinical practice.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
• Motivate and develop staff, fostering a positive and compassionate environment.
• Contribute to budget management and support sales and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting residents with diverse health needs.
• Track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
• Some HR experience and knowledge of sales, marketing and budget management.
• Compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care.
