Catastrophe Modelling Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Catastrophe Modelling Analyst to join a high‑performing analytics team in London. The role supports underwriting and strategic decisions across a diverse insurance portfolio, working closely with UK and international colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters, the Business Services Modelling Team in India, the Catastrophe Regulatory Team and the Corporate Catastrophe Solutions Team.
• Deliver catastrophe modelling analytics to inform underwriting decisions and business strategy.
• Produce quarterly catastrophe portfolio roll‑up reports and regulatory analytics.
• Support pricing and exposure analysis for underwriting teams in the UK and India.
• Validate model outputs, conduct model testing and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Contribute insights to business planning through portfolio analysis.

Required profile

• Significant experience in catastrophe modelling, account pricing and portfolio analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.

Required skills

• Moody’s RiskLink or equivalent catastrophe modelling platform.
• Risk Modeller or AIR Touchstone.
• Advanced SQL for large data set extraction and manipulation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and reporting.

What we offer

• 6‑month contract, inside IR35, with a daily rate of £515‑£610.
• Hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) in London.
