Category Development Manager – Grocery (West London)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading FMCG business to hire a Category Development Manager who will drive growth for grocery categories with major retail customers. Reporting to the Category leadership team, you will shape category strategies, turn shopper and market data into actionable insights, and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with major grocery retail customers.
• Deliver category reviews, range recommendations and assortment strategies.
• Analyse shopper, customer and market data to uncover growth opportunities.
• Lead promotional analysis and recommend improvements.
• Support distribution, ranging and space optimisation initiatives.
• Create compelling insight‑led presentations for customers and internal teams.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to support commercial plans and new product launches.
• Track category performance and provide actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience in Category Development, Category Management or Category Strategy within an FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of UK grocery retail.
• Proven ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially minded and proactive approach.

What we offer

• Salary range £58,000‑£62,000 per year.
