Catering Assistant – School Canteen (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our school canteen team on a part‑time, term‑time basis. You will help deliver a high‑quality dining experience for pupils, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and excellent service throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the catering team with food preparation, service and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Support set‑up and break‑down of meals, including stock replenishment.
• Follow safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of children.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety procedures.

• Positive attitude and strong team‑player mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills and reliability.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Willingness to work 25 hours per week during school term time.
