CCTV Security Investigator (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The CCTV Security Investigator will join DPD’s Central Monitoring Team in Smethwick on a 12‑month maternity cover. Working within a fast‑paced parcel delivery environment, you will help protect assets, reduce losses and support investigations that safeguard employees and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live and recorded CCTV feeds to identify and prevent loss incidents.
• Review footage of high‑value items reported lost and compile evidential packs for prosecution.
• Produce witness statements, exhibits and CCTV downloads for police and legal proceedings.
• Attend court as a witness when required.
• Escalate process weaknesses and support compliance reviews of security searches.
• Provide footage for training and assist Quality Audit and Regional Security Managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CCTV monitoring or security investigations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports.
• Good communication skills for liaising with managers, police and courts.
• Ability to work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, starting at 06:00.
