Central Cost Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Central Cost Financial Controller to lead financial control, transparency and performance across our central functions. Reporting to the Group Operations Finance Director, you will shape a disciplined approach to managing overheads in a fast‑paced, multi‑brand hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and month‑end processes for central cost functions, ensuring accuracy and strong control.
• Own budgeting and forecasting, partnering with budget holders to challenge spend and improve cost efficiency.
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, supporting decision‑making and investment analysis.
• Deliver clear management reporting on cost performance, risks and opportunities.
• Strengthen governance, compliance and audit readiness across central functions.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Build strong relationships, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in financial control, management accounting or central cost finance within a complex organisation.
• Commercially minded analytical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including Board level.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP/reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle or Workday.
