Central Management Accounting Officer

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Central Management Accounting Officer to join the Central Management Accounting team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The role will be based in Cwmbran and will support the production of accurate monthly management accounts for the health board.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and distribute monthly management accounting information for the health board.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues to ensure data integrity and timely reporting.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities.
• Support internal stakeholders with financial insights and ad‑hoc queries.
• Maintain compliance with NHS financial policies and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Experience working in an accounts department, preferably within the public or health sector.
• Strong motivation to develop a career in management accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Commitment to the values of the health board and willingness to support a diverse workforce.

Required skills

• AAT qualification.
