Centre Manager

About the role

Halfords is seeking a Centre Manager to lead its Hertford Autocentre. You will be responsible for driving business performance, delivering an excellent customer journey and ensuring the team operates at its best.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of automotive technicians and advisors.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Manage daily centre operations, including stock control, health & safety and compliance with MOT and ATA standards.
• Monitor and achieve financial targets, on‑target earnings and bonus objectives.
• Provide on‑the‑spot training and coaching to improve team performance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and team‑management experience in the automotive or a similar service environment.
• Track record of delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Coaching‑oriented approach with the ability to train staff in real time.
• Strong organisational skills and a focus on meeting performance targets.
