CEO – Management Buy-In (Operating Partner) – UK

About the role

All Interests Aligned (AIA) is seeking a UK‑based Chief Executive Officer to lead the acquisition and management of a high‑potential, family‑owned SME facing a succession challenge. This unique Management Buy‑In (MBI) program combines equity ownership with strong entrepreneurial backing, allowing you to become a CEO‑owner of a business.

Key responsibilities

• Origination: Identify and assess acquisition targets with AIA’s financial and strategic support while receiving compensation.
• Deal Closing: Work with AIA investment professionals on due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring to secure the acquisition.
• Transition: Assume the CEO role, manage leadership handover and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Operation: Lead day‑to‑day operations, governance, reporting and compliance, and execute a value‑driven growth plan.
• Exit: Develop and implement an exit strategy in partnership with AIA to maximise returns and ensure long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• Deep, established professional roots in the UK business community.
• Proven experience running the P&L of a small or mid‑market enterprise.
• Interest in acquiring an existing business rather than building from scratch.
• Willingness to take equity ownership and commit to a rigorous 15‑17‑week selection process.
