Checkout Team Leader – Hinckley

About the role

Morrisons is hiring a Checkout Team Leader for its Hinckley store (Hinckley Fields Industrial Estate, North Perimeter Road). The role is full-time, 30 hours per week, permanent, and requires full flexibility. The team leader keeps the front end of the store running smoothly across checkouts, customer service, kiosks and car parks.

Key responsibilities

• Stay visible on the shop floor, using headsets to jump in quickly, support colleagues and keep queues moving
• Build an encouraging team culture where colleagues feel trusted, listened to and recognised
• Ensure daily processes, cash handling and legal obligations are followed properly every shift
• Use store reports and dashboards to spot what works, fix problems quickly and improve the checkout experience
• Help keep the department tidy and organised, handling put-backs promptly to minimise waste

Required profile

• Natural leader with a helpful and friendly style
• Strong operational and technical knowledge of front-end service departments
• Ability to build strong, open relationships with colleagues and customers
• Enjoys coaching and developing a high-performing team
