Chef – Care Home (Aberdeen)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our award‑winning care home in Aberdeen’s West End. You will prepare nutritious, tasty meals for up to 86 residents, supporting their wellbeing and daily routine.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high‑quality meals that meet individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards in the kitchen.
• Contribute to menu planning and ensure consistent presentation.
• Organise kitchen stock, equipment and daily service flow.
• Collaborate with the care team to tailor meals for residents with specific health requirements.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Positive, reliable attitude.

Required skills

• Food hygiene and safety knowledge.
• Menu planning and dietary tailoring.
• Kitchen organisation and stock management.
