Chef Trainer – Hospitality Apprenticeship Specialist

About the role
The Chef Trainer will join HIT Training’s London‑based team to deliver specialist apprenticeship and professional training programmes for the hospitality, catering and retail sectors. Working hybrid with both on‑site sessions and remote support, you will mentor apprentices, assess their progress and ensure training meets industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver cooking and culinary operation training sessions for apprentices and staff.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials and assessments tailored to individual learning needs.
- Mentor, coach and evaluate apprentices, providing constructive feedback and tracking progress.
- Collaborate with employer partners to align training content with current industry standards and regulations.
- Utilise digital platforms and tools to facilitate remote learning and record keeping.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in professional cooking, culinary operations or related hospitality roles.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach and assess learners in a training environment.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, industry regulations and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for education and continuous professional development.
