Chemical Operator – Fine Chemicals Production

About the role

The company is a leading chemical manufacturing organisation seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to support fine chemicals production. You will ensure safe, efficient execution of batch processes while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute batch sheet processes to manufacture fine chemicals in compliance with safety and quality protocols.
• Operate and monitor production equipment for manufacturing, drying, and packaging.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to maintain smooth production.
• Strictly adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with management and team members to optimise production schedules and processes.
• Participate in safety improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Document production activities, equipment status, and any incidents or deviations accurately.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work extended hours as required to meet production demands.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, or 1‑2 years experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Understanding of hazards and safety protocols for hazardous chemicals, materials, and explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
