Chief Finance Officer – East Midlands

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Finance Officer to join our network of independent CFOs serving ambitious private businesses across the East Midlands. This self‑employed position offers the freedom to build your own client portfolio while benefiting from the support of a well‑established organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide part‑time CFO services to £2‑50M companies, helping owners achieve growth, acquisition or consolidation goals.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with business owners, CEOs and MDs, acting as trusted advisor and strategist.
• Manage a personal portfolio of clients, delivering financial insight, strategic planning and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director and a global network of CFOs to share best practices and enhance service delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified member of a UK chartered accounting institute (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director in mid‑sized businesses, with strong commercial finance and strategy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build genuine, long‑lasting client relationships and work autonomously.
