Chief Finance Officer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, founder‑led engineering and technology business to find a Chief Finance Officer. This senior executive will join the Executive Leadership Team and work closely with the CEO and Board to shape financial strategy and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy.
• Ensure strong governance, commercial rigour and operational excellence across the organisation.
• Provide financial insight to support growth, investment decisions and performance improvement.
• Build a scalable finance function capable of supporting long‑term ambitions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Commercial and HR to influence business strategy and evaluate investment opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with shareholders, investors and external partners.
• Lead fundraising activities and drive operational improvements with a hands‑on approach.
• Develop and mentor high‑performing finance teams.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Proven experience at CFO or Finance Director level in a high‑growth, scaling organisation.
• Significant background in technology, advanced engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Track record of supporting businesses with turnover of £30 m+ through sustained growth.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate complex financial data into strategic decisions.
