Children Law Paralegal – London

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Children Law Paralegal to join our award‑winning Child Care Department in London. Working within a paperless, hybrid‑working environment, you will support senior solicitors in delivering specialist advice to children, parents and families across a wide range of child‑care matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors in preparing and filing court documents related to adoption, custody, surrogacy and international child abduction.
• Conduct legal research on family and child‑care legislation and recent case law.
• Liaise with guardians, birth parents and external agencies to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Maintain accurate case files in the firm’s digital system, ensuring compliance with data‑security standards.
• Support client meetings, taking notes and drafting correspondence under solicitor supervision.

Required profile

• Demonstrated interest or experience in child‑care or family law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information compassionately.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
