Children's Residential Support Worker

About the role

Join Wilderness Way as a Children’s Residential Support Worker and help shape brighter futures for vulnerable youngsters. You will live and work on‑site, providing daily care, structure, and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care, including meals, hygiene support and bedtime routines.
• Plan and facilitate recreational activities such as sports, crafts, music and outdoor adventures.
• Maintain a stable, structured environment while encouraging independence and personal growth.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of managers, outdoor experts and health professionals.
• Document observations, incidents and progress notes in line with safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in care, education or related settings.
• Enthusiasm, resilience and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
• Willingness to work towards (or already hold) a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
• Successful DBS, Access NI or Disclosure Scotland check and proof of identity.
