Chilled Intake Warehouse Operator with Forklift Licence

About the role

Albert Bartlett, a family-owned business and the UK's leading supplier of potatoes, is looking for an experienced, safety-conscious warehouse operator for its Chilled Intake team in Airdrie. The role works a 7-day-over-14-day weekend shift from 7pm to 7am, with a rate of £15.56 per night. You will help receive, store and supply raw materials so that production can run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts in line with company procedures.
• Receive, unload and put away incoming deliveries.
• Transfer stock between intake, storage and production areas.
• Load and unload vehicles accurately.
• Complete daily forklift safety checks and report defects.
• Ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly.
• Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork or system transactions.
• Support inventory accuracy through stock checks and audits.
• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene requirements, and keep work areas clean and organised.

Required profile

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or food production environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work independently and manage workload.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work.

Required skills

• Previous experience using warehouse management systems.
• Pivot steer or other MHE licences.
