Civil Enforcement Officer – Night Patrol (£32/hr)

About the role

The Civil Enforcement Officer will patrol the streets of Thornton Heath during night hours, ensuring that parking regulations are respected and that traffic flow remains smooth. Working alongside CCTV systems, you will issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles that breach the rules and help maintain a safe, orderly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to vehicles parked in contravention of parking regulations.
• Record evidence and observations using handheld devices and CCTV feeds.
• Report any faulty enforcement equipment or damaged signage to the maintenance team.
• Identify and report abandoned or illegally parked vehicles to management.
• Maintain accurate logs of enforcement activity and submit daily reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Civil Enforcement Officer or in a similar parking enforcement role.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays, on a rota basis.
• Willingness to provide personal black shoes; uniform will be supplied.
