Claims Service Adviser (Commercial Claims)

About the role

Aon is seeking a Claims Service Adviser to manage a portfolio of UK commercial insurance claims. Working on a hybrid basis from Leeds (or Glasgow), you will ensure claims progress efficiently and achieve optimal outcomes for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial claims, developing expertise across lines of business.
• Handle cases in line with FCA guidelines and relevant pre‑action protocols using the Claims Portal.
• Establish coverage, exercise delegated authority, and oversee end‑to‑end claim handling.
• Provide expert advice, technical analysis, and litigation support to facilitate settlements.
• Liaise with internal teams and maintain strong client relationships.
• Maintain electronic claim files, process information, and coordinate internal activities.
• Review and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
• Adhere to Aon UK policy, complete mandatory training, and support risk‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience as a Claims Handler handling UK commercial claims.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and deliver favourable claim outcomes.
• Strong understanding of FCA guidelines and pre‑action protocols.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
