Class 1 CE Licensed Driver – Haverfordwest

About the role

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Tramper to join its Haverfordwest base. You will be responsible for delivering palletised and caged goods to regional distribution centres and stores across Wales, ensuring safe handling and timely service.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload palletised and caged goods from refrigerated vehicles, securing loads with straps, nets and other approved equipment.
• Complete 4‑5 delivery drops per shift to RDCs and retail locations throughout Wales.
• Perform manual handling tasks, including handballing and self‑tipping of loads.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks using the company‑issued phone.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and provide progress updates.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 CE licence.
• Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Ability to work to tight schedules and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks, especially in Wales.

Required skills

• Operating articulated vehicles (Class 1 CE licence).
• Use of securing equipment such as straps and nets.
• Conducting vehicle safety inspections.
• Digital tachograph operation.
