Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver - 44-Tonne Branch Distribution

About the role

BSS, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is hiring a permanent, full-time Class 1 (C+E) night driver for its branch distribution site at Magna Park, Lutterworth. The role covers 50 hours per week on fixed 10-hour shifts from Sunday to Thursday, starting between 19:00 and 22:00. The driver works a clean, organised route with no manual unloading, focusing on driving.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 3 to 5 multi-drop deliveries each night across the branch network.
• Manage the arrival and positioning of the 44-tonne vehicle for forklift-only unloading (no handballing).
• Take primary responsibility for the assigned DAF XF, keeping it roadworthy and compliant through pre- and post-shift checks.
• Maintain accurate digital records and follow road transport and traffic legislation.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with an up-to-date CPC and Digi-Tacho.
• Previous experience with 44-tonne vehicles and multi-drop logistics.
• Comfortable working independently through the night and resolving on-road issues proactively.
• A reliable, safety-first mindset; an FLT licence is a bonus, and full training is provided if needed.
