Cleaner – Facilities Management (Manchester)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to join our facilities management team in Manchester. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and may involve static site‑based duties or mobile assignments that require a UK driving licence and the use of your own vehicle. All candidates must obtain a high‑level SC security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces and emptying waste.
• Maintain welfare areas, offices, corridors, washrooms and other designated spaces to the required standard.
• Re‑stock consumables like toilet paper, hand towels and soap.
• Follow health & safety, COSHH and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages or hazards to a supervisor.
• Complete tasks efficiently within agreed timescales while providing a courteous service.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK (UK passport holders only) and ability to provide five years of UK work and residency history for SC clearance.
• Willingness to undergo strict SC security clearance.
• Previous experience in commercial or public‑sector cleaning (desirable but not essential).
• Good attention to detail, reliability and flexibility.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
