Cleaner for School Environment

About the role

Bitterne Park School is looking for a dedicated Cleaner to keep our learning environment spotless and safe. You will play a vital part in ensuring that classrooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect classrooms, corridors, toilets and shared spaces on a daily basis.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and report any issues that may affect hygiene or safety.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored correctly and used safely.
• Support the school’s health and safety policies by following proper procedures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically.
• Reliability and punctuality to meet regular cleaning timetables.
• Physical capability to lift and move cleaning equipment.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying cleaning priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Required skills

• Basic health and safety awareness relevant to cleaning tasks.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment safely.
