About the role
We are seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a safe and hygienic environment within a school setting. The successful candidate will follow established cleaning methods, operate specialised machinery, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, corridors, and communal areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.
- Apply appropriate cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH guidelines.
- Identify and report any health and safety hazards.
- Participate in mandatory training provided by the EA cleaning service.
Required profile
- Experience in a school or similar institutional cleaning role.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and COSHH requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in English and the ability to follow instructions.
- Strong organisational skills and a flexible, team‑oriented approach.
