About the role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join the facilities team at Royal Mail in Carlisle. This night‑shift role is essential for maintaining high hygiene standards across the site’s operational areas.
Key responsibilities
- Clean operational areas including sorting floors, staff rest areas, toilets, and offices.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards in high‑traffic environments.
- Follow COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Complete routine cleaning checklists and report site needs.
- Work as part of a cleaning team or independently across large areas.
Required profile
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Reliability and good time‑keeping.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
Required skills
- COSHH awareness.
- Health & Safety awareness.
What we offer
- Night‑shift hours: 11:00 pm – 07:00 am, Monday to Friday.
- Pay rate: £16.94 per hour.
- Fixed‑term assignment of 8 weeks, starting ASAP.
