Client Director – Financial Services

About the role

Babel is seeking a Client Director to lead the expansion of its financial services business in Mexico, initially focusing on banking and later extending to insurance. This senior position offers high visibility and the opportunity to shape the company’s growth strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Babel’s growth strategy for the Mexican financial sector, prioritising acquisition of new banking clients.
• Identify, develop and close high‑value opportunities with banks, financial institutions and, subsequently, insurers.
• Build long‑term executive relationships with C‑level stakeholders and key decision‑makers.
• Design commercial approaches that align with Babel’s digital transformation, technology and consulting capabilities.
• Lead complex, consultative sales cycles and coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Detect cross‑selling and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
• Own profitability, growth and client satisfaction for strategic accounts, creating medium‑ and long‑term account plans.
• Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, financial sustainability and client alignment.
• Manage critical escalations for strategic clients.
• Lead, mentor and develop the commercial and delivery team focused on financial services.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic account management or commercial leadership within the technology sector.
• Proven track record of winning new business and expanding existing relationships in the financial services industry.
• Strong ability to engage C‑level executives and influence decision‑making.
• Experience managing complex, multi‑disciplinary sales processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and talent‑development skills.
