Client Payroll Specialist

About the role

As a Client Payroll Specialist you will oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for a portfolio of professional services clients based in Leatherhead. The role ensures payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance and timely support for both clients and their employees.

Key responsibilities

• Process full payroll cycles for multiple client accounts, maintaining precise records.
• Handle payroll queries, providing prompt resolutions to clients and their staff.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings, including RTI submissions and pension contributions.
• Assist with client‑led payroll audits and produce required reports.
• Stay informed of changes in UK payroll legislation and advise clients accordingly.
• Collaborate with internal finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within professional services.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to meet multiple client deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for client liaison and query resolution.
• Proactive, adaptable approach to problem‑solving.

Required skills

• IRIS Payroll (IPP) – professional level proficiency.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from £36,000 to £44,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Permanent contract based in Leatherhead.
