Client Portfolio Manager – Advisory Role (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a growing accountancy firm in the South East that values long‑term client relationships over transactional work. As a Client Portfolio Manager you will be the trusted adviser for an established portfolio of limited companies, partnerships and owner‑managed businesses, working from a hybrid base in Basingstoke.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing strategic financial and commercial advice.
• Review year‑end accounts and corporation tax work before client delivery.
• Assist business owners with day‑to‑day financial challenges and decision‑making.
• Plan and monitor workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
• Coach and review the work of junior team members.
• Develop lasting relationships that generate additional advisory opportunities.
• Utilise modern cloud accounting systems and practice software.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Experience working within a UK practice environment.
• Currently managing your own client portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Enjoy client‑facing interaction and building relationships.
• Committed to developing junior staff.
• Ability to make independent decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting systems.
• Experience using practice accounting software.
