Client Portfolio Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ACA/ACCA‑qualified professional to manage a diverse client portfolio for a leading accountancy practice in Somerset. The role combines financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and advisory work across multiple sectors, offering a clear pathway to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients, handling queries and building strong relationships.
• Prepare and review year‑end financial statements and monthly management reporting packs.
• Ensure tax compliance, review VAT returns and identify tax planning opportunities.
• Deliver client advisory and business‑advisory services, including tax planning and management accounts analysis.
• Lead client meetings and mentor junior staff members.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification with a general practice background.
• Experience managing a client portfolio, preferably in an accountancy setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• UK residency.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of FRS 102.
