Clinical Deputy Manager – Care Home (RGN/RMN)

About the role

The Clinical Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality, person‑centred care at Raemoir Manor Care Home. This senior leadership position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on support for nursing and care teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance, care planning, medication management and risk assessment.
• Conduct audits, support inspections and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide visible, hands‑on leadership, mentoring and development for nursing and care staff.
• Act as deputy to the Home Manager, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and making decisions in their absence.
• Monitor performance against regulatory and organisational standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a care setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Experience in clinical governance, audits and compliance.
• Ability to support, mentor and develop staff.
• Confident decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Compassionate, professional and resident‑focused approach.

Required skills

What we offer

• £25.00 per hour on a 44‑hour contract (combination of supernumerary and on‑the‑floor shifts).
• Every second weekend work initially.
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform and 5.6 weeks annual leave.
• Paid NMC fees, ongoing training and clear progression to Home Manager.
