Clinical Negligence Paralegal

About the role

Join a highly regarded specialist law firm in Leeds as a Clinical Negligence Paralegal. You will work on a varied caseload of high‑value claimant matters, supporting senior solicitors from the inception of a claim through to its resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors in managing clinical negligence files, including birth injury, brain and spinal injury, amputation, fatal accident and complex delayed diagnosis claims.
• Review and analyse medical records, prepare chronologies and case summaries.
• Liaise with clients, medical experts, counsel and third parties.
• Draft correspondence, legal documents and support investigations into liability and causation.
• Handle disclosure, document management and maintain accurate file records in line with firm procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience as a clinical negligence paralegal.
• Genuine interest in claimant clinical negligence work.
• Strong organisational and file‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate empathy with clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reviewing medical documentation.
• Experience drafting legal correspondence and documents.
• Competence in case file management systems.
