Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Essex

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Clinical (Medical) Negligence Solicitor to join its growing team in Essex. This full‑time position offers the chance to work on complex, high‑value medical negligence matters while receiving support from experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medical negligence cases from initial instruction through to post‑settlement.
• Screen new enquiries and assess prospects of success.
• Review medical records, prepare chronologies and gather evidence.
• Instruct counsel and medical experts.
• Advise clients on funding options, risk and case strategy.
• Support senior colleagues and provide cover as needed.
• Handle related matters such as complaints, inquests and access to medical records.
• Deliver a sensitive, professional service to vulnerable clients, including elderly and disabled individuals.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• Approximately 2+ years PQE in medical negligence.
• Ability to manage matters with a good level of autonomy.
• Strong client care, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative team player who maintains high professional and ethical standards.
