Clinical Negligence Solicitor – NQ to 3 PQE

About the role

We are seeking a motivated solicitor to join Scotland's leading clinical negligence defence team. The role offers exposure to high‑value, complex claims on behalf of healthcare professionals and insurers, with responsibility from the initial intake through to final resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Defend complex clinical negligence claims for healthcare providers and insurers.
• Investigate case facts and analyse expert medical evidence.
• Develop and implement robust legal strategies.
• Work closely with recognised medical specialists across multiple disciplines.
• Manage litigation files, draft pleadings and attend hearings.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ to 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience in clinical negligence or a strong interest in specialising in this area.
• Ability to handle detailed, technically demanding cases.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
