Clinical Pharmacist – Cannabis-Based Medicines (London)

About the role

Join Montu UK as a Clinical Pharmacist focused on prescribing cannabis‑based medicinal products (CBMPs) to patients who have exhausted conventional treatments. This role combines clinical expertise with the opportunity to shape an emerging therapeutic field.

Key responsibilities

• Clinically review and prescribe CBMPs for patients with complex, refractory conditions.
• Manage a diverse patient caseload, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
• Support the dispensary team by answering clinical queries and providing education to patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards and collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Required profile

• GPhC‑registered pharmacist holding a current Independent Prescriber qualification.
• At least two years of prescribing experience in a clinical environment.
• Strong commitment to patient outcomes and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, evolving setting.
• Willingness to learn about CBMPs; prior knowledge is not required as full training will be provided.

Required skills

• Independent prescribing (IP qualification).
• Clinical assessment and medication management.
• Record‑keeping compliant with GPhC standards.
