About the role
The Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist who will act as an Independent Prescriber and contribute to the growth of the pharmacy team. The role combines core pharmacy practice with clinical duties and on‑call responsibilities across multiple hospital areas.
Key responsibilities
- Provide core pharmacy services and clinical medication management.
- Deliver patient education, counselling and medicines safety advice.
- Participate in on‑call service to support hospital departments.
- Utilise advanced pharmacy technologies, including the ARX robot and EMIS software.
- Support the development of post‑graduate qualifications and professional growth.
Required profile
- Qualified pharmacist with Independent Prescriber status.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
- Commitment to patient safety and education.
- Willingness to engage in on‑call duties.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ARX robot technology.
- Experience using EMIS pharmacy software.
