Clinical Research Doctor – Gynaecological Cancer Research

About the role

This one‑year medical oncology clinical fellowship focuses on gynaecological cancer research, combining clinical and translational projects. The fellow will work closely with the Gynaecology unit, ICR laboratories, and clinician‑scientists to develop a robust research portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design, propose, and develop academic or multicentre clinical trials under consultant supervision.
• Collaborate with statisticians and trial managers to ensure rigorous trial methodology.
• Write grant applications and cost studies for peer‑reviewed funding.
• Develop translational research protocols in partnership with clinician scientists.
• Contribute to publications, conference presentations, and the overall research output of the Gynaecology unit.

Required profile

• Medical doctor with interest in oncology and gynaecological cancers.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Motivation to acquire clinical research, grant‑writing, and translational research skills.
