Clinician Nurse / Paramedic – Emergency Operations Centre

About the role

The Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is seeking experienced nurses and paramedics to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. As an EOC Triage Clinician you will provide remote clinical assessment and triage for patients contacting the 999 emergency service, ensuring they receive the right care at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rapid, autonomous clinical triage assessments for callers to 999.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medical Dispatchers and other EOC staff to deliver acute medical advice.
• Work 12‑hour shifts covering days, nights, and occasional weekends on a relief rota.
• Document clinical decisions and follow established protocols.
• Participate in continuous professional development and team briefings.

Required profile

• Qualified Nurse or Paramedic with experience in emergency or primary‑care triage.
• Paramedics must be fully signed off at Band 6 level.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including night and weekend duties.
