CNC Apprentice – Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway to become a skilled mechanical engineering technician, focusing on CNC machining within a world‑leading sub‑sea valve manufacturer. You will split your training between classroom study at Gloucestershire Engineering Training and hands‑on work at LB Bentley Ltd.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and learn a wide range of engineering processes under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Progress to independent work, contributing to the department’s machining output.
• Maintain a detailed logbook of projects, skills acquired and assessments completed.
• Manufacture components from work instructions and engineering drawings to required precision and quality standards.
• Maintain workshop equipment and uphold 5S + Safety standards.
• Complete NVQ units and workbook assessments within the prescribed timeframe.
