CNC Miller/Turner – Power Generation & Marine (Hyde)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller/Turner to join our precision engineering team in Hyde. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC lathes to produce white‑metal bearings and laser‑cut components for the power generation and marine sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC turning centres and lathes.
• Interpret and review cutting plans and technical drawings.
• Produce high‑quality white‑metal bearings and laser‑cut parts.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and follow mentoring programmes.
• Maintain machine tools and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• L3 City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in CNC machining, setting and programming.
• Ability to work on the shop floor alongside senior staff.
• Commitment to continuous learning and progression.
