CNC Programmer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a leading precision engineering company that supplies high‑precision components to sectors such as medical, semiconductor, nuclear and scientific technology. The role is based in Abingdon and offers the chance to work on low‑volume, high‑complexity machining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set‑up and operate CNC milling machines to produce large, complex components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into accurate CNC programs.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to drive process improvements and ensure product quality.
• Maintain and optimise CNC equipment and associated inspection technology.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CNC milling programming.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
• Willingness to work on a variety of specialist engineering projects.
