CNC Setter/Operator – Night Shift

About the role

This permanent night‑shift position is with a leading high‑precision manufacturing business in Plymouth. You will join a well‑run operation that produces high‑quality components for long‑term contracts, working a 10 pm to 6 am shift from Sunday night through Friday morning.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components to engineering specifications.
• Carry out first‑off inspections and in‑process checks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Work in line with health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Experience or knowledge of machining processes in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Formal engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
